Bonham Middle School Parents Upset Over Misinformation

On Thursday, May 23rd, the last day of the school year, an incident occurred at Bonham Middle School at the start of the school day. A coach and another Bonham Middle School Administrator allegedly made a statement to 6th and 7th graders that they would be given citations if they did not leave the school property.

Mr. Raigoza’s concern prompted him to reach out to ECISD School Board Trustee, Delma Abalos.

Mr. Raigoza’s daughter left the Bonham Middle School property after allegedly being threatened with a citation from ECISD Police for being on school property.

Sometime between 9am and 9:30am Ben Raigoza and other parents received a message from Mrs. Smith regarding the incident.

Ben Raigoza supports quality education and the expansion of the Ector County School District but is concerned with the irresponsibility of the staff of Bonham Middle School.

ECISD did respond to questions regarding the incident at Bonham Middle School. Staff at the campus were concerned that students would bring or have eggs filled with confetti and cause a disruption of the 8th Grade end of school program being held inside the school’s auditorium.
