Village Day, A Community Celebration in the Heart of Southside Odessa

The Woodson Boys and Girls Club in the heart of southside Odessa hosted Village Day on Sunday, March 9th. A new nonprofit organization from Midland called VILLAGE, celebrates families and children with free toys and give aways from several businesses, free food, music and games and lots of fun.

The purpose of this event is to connect the community with businesses and nonprofit organization within Odessa and Ector County and the surrounding area.

A local business owner that participated in Village Day believes that giving back to the community is very important to those that are in need.

Visitors to Village Day enjoyed free tacos from Mi Cocinita foodtrailer and Catering and delicious BBQ from Cloud 9 as well as free haircuts that were available for all ages.

Cybersecurity Training in Midland, Texas-DRB Media Communications Digital News

Midland, Texas/August 28, 2022-U.S. Representative August Pfluger recently hosted a Cybersecurity training at Midland Shared Spaces, for business owners and employees, community and non-profit organizations. The focus of the training is how to protect their businesses and organizations from ransomware and cyber threats.

The event featured Chad Adams from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. During the training session Chad Adams revealed the various types of cybersecurity threats that currently exist.

During the training, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency encourage companies and organizations of all sizes to be pro-active in finding solutions through training and software to protect their data and other important information.
