Midland Animal Shelter Plagued by Capacity Issues

Midland, Texas/June 24, 2024-The Midland Animal Shelter is informing residents of an over capacity of pets at the shelter.

The Midland Animal Services is asking for compassionate Midlanders to help save the lives of nearly 250 animals, who need loving homes.

Midland Animal Services says that residents need to spay and or neuter their pets to help reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Midland Animal Services encourages anyone who want to love on a pet to consider adoption or you can apply to foster a pet by filling out the application on line at Animal Services at www.midlandtexas.gov.

Midland Animal Services New Pet Food Pantry Program to Keep Pets at Pet Owners Home

Midland, Texas/June 12, 2024-The City of Midland Animal Services will be providing a food pantry for pets, and it is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 13th, during regular business hours. The pet food pantry is a first come first serve program and is funded through donations.

Officers with Midland Animal Services will be able to provide pet food to elderly pet owners that are not able to make the trip to the Animal Services location.

The Midland Animal Services provides high quality pet food for those dogs and cats that are at the shelter. Various types and brands of pet food will be available at the pet food pantry that pet owners can choose from.
