Odessa, Texas/August 26, 2024-La Margarita Mexican Food Restaurant recently hosted a voter registration drive. Representatives from the Ector County Elections Office welcomed new voters to the event. Mayra Flores who represented Texas’ 34th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives and Betty Cardenas, who is the Chair for Latina’s For Trump/Vance were on hand to visit with new voters.

Betty Cardenas, an advisor for Latinas For Trump spoke to voters on several topics:  from the Economy, support of President Donald Trump’s policies and Latino small businesses.

Mayra Flores is running for re-election for US Congress in Texas’ 34th Congressional District and has enjoyed several fundraising events.

Odessa, Texas/February 15, 2023-The Ector County Republican Women held its February meeting at the Odessa Country Club. This month’s featured speaker was Mayra Flores, former U.S. Congresswoman, Texas District 34.

Mayra Flores immigrated from Mexico with her family at the age of 6. Ms. Flores says she understands why people from other countries want to come to the United States.

According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Mexico and China are the primary source countries trafficking fentanyl to the youth in the United States.
