United Way of Odessa 2023 2024 Report Luncheon and Awards Ceremony

Odessa, Texas/March 2, 2024-The United Way of Odessa recently held their Annual Report 2023 and Luncheon at the MCM Grande Fundome. Several Nonprofit agencies along with the City of Odessa, Ector County ISD and Odessa College participated in the event.

The United Way recognized and awarded oil and gas businesses, individuals and educational institutions for their financial support of the United Way of Odessa.

The United Way of Odessa supports 16 agencies that provide services in either health, education and self-sustainability.

Odessa, Texas/January 11, 2024-The Odessa Family YMCA staff and administrations along with several Y members and invited guests held a special luncheon and fundraiser to help a longtime YMCA trainer.

Judie Porras, a Personal Trainer, who has been with the Odessa Family YMCA for many years is donating her kidney to her husband Javier Aguirre after doctors in the ER revealed kidney failure.

The Odessa Family YMCA will be selling T-shirts and accepting donations for Judie Porras and Javier Aguirre to help with medical costs.

Ector County Republican Women September 2022-DRB Media Communications Digital News

Odessa, Texas/September 22, 2022-The Ector County Republican Women held their September 2022 meeting and luncheon at the Odessa Country Club. The meeting featured three guest speakers James Beauchamp, Kit Whitehill and Stephen Robertson, Executive Vice President of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association

Part of the presentation during the ECRW meeting is the need for consistent rules so that the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin and across the region can operate effectively.

The winter storm of 2021, electricity, generation and delivery suffered greatly in the State of Texas when weather conditions changed dramatically and affected the growing population of Texas.
