Odessa, Texas/November 18, 2024-The Black Chamber of Commerce of the Permian Basin held the 5th Annual Turkey Leg Tussle Domino Tournament benefiting local businesses and daycare centers in the southside of Odessa.

Odessa, Texas/August 28, 202n 4-Cal Hendrick for Mayor supporters recently held a fundraising event for the candidate at a private residence in northeast Odessa. Cal Hendrick engaged in conversations with supporters and guests regarding issues plaguing the City of Odessa.

The City of Odessa has been experiencing a shortage of trained personnel in Police and in Fire and Rescue as well as city workers. Cal Hendrick, candidate for Mayor for the City of Odessa presented his ideas of how to increase city personnel.

Recording Library of West Texas “Brews and Blindfolds” Fundraising Event Hosted by The Blue Door

Midland, Texas/March 9, 2024-The Recording Library of Midland recently held “Brews and Blindfolds” fundraiser hosted by the BLUE DOOR. Guests purchased drinks to raise funds to help blind and low vision adults in West Texas.

Recording Library of West Texas/Dining in the Dark Fundraising Event

Midland, Texas/September 17, 2023-The Recording Library of West Texas is an organization that was established in 1963 and is dedicated to improving the lives of people by providing high quality audio for individuals who are blind, print impaired or have low vision.

Clients of the Recording Library of West Texas send in their requests for a specific text, audio length and what digital format they need it in. A production specialist is assigned to work with the client.

The Recording Library of West Texas is dependent on monetary donations small and large. On Monday, October 16th the Recording Library will have their annual fundraising event called Dining in the Dark, a unique culinary experience.

Children’s Miracle Network Reveals Balloon Logo at MCH Center for Women and Infants

Odessa, Texas/May 16, 2023-On Tuesday, May 16th, Medical Center Health System and Children’s Miracle Network unveiled the CMN Logo on the exterior of the MCH Center for Women and Infants. The reveal has been in the making and highlights MCH being a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital since 1987.

The Children’s Miracle Network, under the guidance of Medical Center Health System Foundation helps Medical Center Health System maintain a high standard for delivering outstanding care through purchasing lifesaving equipment for the NICU and pediatric unit.

Children’s Miracle Network works with local and corporate partners to advocate for children’s health, and continues to bring in funds for Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care. It is through CMN donations that children can be treated at Medical Center Hospital, regardless of payment.

Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce First Annual Cinco De Mayo Kickoff Celebration

Odessa, Texas/May 1, 2023-The Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held their first annual CINCO DE MAYO Kickoff event at La Margarita fairgrounds on Saturday evening, April 29th. Several hundred visitors enjoyed the various food trucks and vendors at the event.

The CINCO DE MAYO Kickoff is the Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce first major fundraising event, that included mariachis and K-POP style dancing. Several non-profit organizations were on the fairgrounds providing information on services they provide

Several small businesses supported the Kickoff event by selling merchandise and tasty food products like Salsas and other tasty treats as well as Sam’s Brittle Creations, a family-owned business.
