Ector County Republican Women Club 2024 Featuring Sheriff Mike Griffis & Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland

Odessa, Texas/January 29, 2024-The Ector County Republican Womens Club held their first luncheon and meeting of the new 2024 year at the Odessa Country Club. The event guests featured Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis and Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus C. Cleveland. Both law enforcement officials spoke on the border issues affecting residents across Texas.

Terell County Sheriff Thaddeus C. Cleveland Served in the United States Air Force and was Border Patrol Agent in Charge at the Sanderson Border Station along the Southwest Border.

Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland says that a solution to the border problems is an increase in technology, infrastructure and manpower. The small Terrell County Sheriff’s Office also benefited from Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lonestar.

Former U.S. Congresswoman Texas District 34, Mayra Flores Speaks at ECRW Club Luncheon

Odessa, Texas/February 15, 2023-The Ector County Republican Women held its February meeting at the Odessa Country Club. This month’s featured speaker was Mayra Flores, former U.S. Congresswoman, Texas District 34.

Mayra Flores immigrated from Mexico with her family at the age of 6. Ms. Flores says she understands why people from other countries want to come to the United States.

According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Mexico and China are the primary source countries trafficking fentanyl to the youth in the United States.
