Odessa, Texas/August 16, 2024-On Tuesday, August 13th, the Ector County ISD School Board held a special meeting to officially accept the retirement of Dr. Scott Muri, Superintendent of Schools at Ector County ISD during an executive session.

Delma Abalos, ECISD School Board member hopes to find a new superintendent that will be an advocate for school district students as well as connecting with the local community like Dr. Scott Muri did in the five years as Superintendent of Schools.

Dr. Scott Muri had started his 37th year in education and has decided to make a change in his career path.

During the executive session of the ECISD Special Meeting the school board voted to name Dr. Keeley Boyer, Chief of Schools as the Interim-Superintendent of Schools at ECISD.

Ector County ISD Convocation for the New School Year

Odessa, Texas/August 8, 2024-4200 Ector County ISD employees came together for the Convocation event for the new school year at the Ector County Coliseum.

Scott Muri, Superintendent of Schools at ECISD celebrated the passing of the 424 million Dollar bond along with other goals the school districts plan to achieve.

School begins on August 12th, for Pre-K, 6th and 9th grade. 7th, 8th graders and 10th thru 12 grade starts August 13th.

Odessa, Texas/January 21, 2024-Hispanic Heritage of Odessa part of L.U.L.A.C. of Odessa kicked off a new monthly event called Breakfast with a Champion. This monthly event recognizes Educators, business leaders and those who have made an impact in the communities of Odessa and Ector County.

Odessa, Texas/May 18, 2023-The Ector County Republican Women’s Club held their monthly meeting at the Odessa Country Club. Members heard a presentation and school updates from Dr. Scott Muri, Superintendent of Schools at Ector County ISD.

Dr. Muri informed the Ector County republican Women’s Club, that the State of Texas currently has a 32.5-billion-dollar surplus that school districts across the state would like to get a portion of the budget surplus.

The Ector County Republican Womens Club featured guest speaker Sherrona Bishop, “America’s Mom,” a constitutional conservative, who defends core values of those who do not want to lose the freedoms and rights of all citizens who live in the United States of America.

Sherronna Bishop is an advocate for parental rights, she brings hope and inspiration to those who feel arrested by the political correctness and false narratives.
