Cultural Celebrations Council and City of Odessa Welcomes Navarro Group a Cultural Events Planner

Odessa, Texas/June 4, 2024-Recently, The City of Odessa along with the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Ambassadors welcomed the Houston based Navarro Group. The special program introduced the Cultural Celebrations Council of Odessa, a special events organization that has partnered with the City of Odessa.

The Cultural Celebrations Council of Odessa revealed new logos and a rebranding of the Christmas parade and the Firecracker Fandango.

The goal of the Navarro Group is preserving the Mexican traditions and culture through fun family events like parades and other live entertainment, that will also include Dia De Los Muertos Parade and Festival.

City of Odessa Mayor Joven and the City Council had approved $50 thousand dollars to the Navarro Group to bring a higher standard of cultural entertainment.

Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1 Judge Carlos Chavez, symbolically swore in the Cultural Celebrations Council of Odessa Board at the finale of the Navarro Group presentation.

Odessa, Texas/October 31, 2021-The City of Odessa celebrated Dia De Los Muertos with a parade. Families and visitors lined the east and west side of Grant Street to view the colorful floats, Dance routines, low riders, motorcycles and other decorated vehicles. Various activities were also held at the Noel Heritage Plaza hosted by Jesse Porras Productions, Hispanic Heritage of Odessa, and the Downtown Odessa organization.

Dia De Los Muertos is celebrated throughout Mexico and all of Latin America. This event is a celebration of life of a departed loved one and is not associated with any Halloween activities.

The celebration of Dia De Los Muertos begins October 31st and ends November 2nd.
