Odessa, Texas/October 7, 2025-Nayely Urias, a candidate for Odessa City Council, District 2 held a meet and greet and fundraising event hosted by Jack Jordan’s Bar-B-Que. Members of the local Republican Party and guests came out to support the District 2 Candidate.

Eddie Mitchell, Candidate for Odessa City Council, District 1 Holds Kickoff Campaign

Odessa, Texas/August 29, 2024-Eddie Mitchell, a candidate for Odessa City Council, District 1 held his kickoff campaign at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Members of LULAC, Hispanic Heritage of Odessa the Black Cultural Council of Odessa along with residents of the southside came to support Eddie Mitchell

Eddie Michell wants to see an increase in economic development in the southside of Odessa that includes a high-end steakhouse, restaurants and grocery stores. Candidate Eddie Mitchell would like to see affordable housing development as well.

Craig Stoker, Candidate for Odessa City Council At Large Meets with Southside Odessa Community Leaders

Odessa, Texas/August 25, 2024-Representatives with the Black Cultural Council of Odessa, LULAC and Hispanic Heritage of Odessa along with residents of District 1 and District 5 met with Craig Stoke, a candidate for Odessa City Council At-Large. The purpose of the meeting was to hear concerns impacting the residents of the southside of Odessa.

Community leaders voiced being neglected and the lack of interest by the current council only focused in developing Northeast Odessa into Midland County. Southside residents want high end economic development in the southside of Odessa.

The Black Cultural Council of Odessa and southside Odessa residents were encouraged by Craig Stoker’s presentation and his plans if elected to the Odessa City Council At-Large seat.

Odessa, Texas/July 18, 2024-On Wednesday, July 17th, Craig Stoker announced his candidacy for the Odessa City Council At-Large. Friends, Supporters and guests gathered at the Copper-Rose building in downtown Odessa to hear his plans on how to move forward.

Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez Candidate for U S Senate Visits Odessa

On Sunday, February 4th, Texas State Senator, Roland Gutierrez, held a campaign stop in Odessa at Ajuua’s Mexican Restaurant. The Texas State Senator spoke on several topics that he feels are important to voters, including education and healthcare.

The Permian Basin is the epicenter of the oil and gas industry, Texas Senator Gutierrez would like to see more revenue come into this area for infrastructure.
