National Night Out 2024 Register Now!

Odessa, Texas/September 4, 2024-The Odessa Police Department invites the public for National Night Out 2024 on October 1st. Register your block, church or apartment complex for a night of fun and food for the entire family.

Odessa Police Department’s Annual Back to School Block Party 2024

 

The Odessa Police Department and 1st Responders are having the annual Back to School Block Party this Saturday, August 3rd, at Sherwood Park from 10am to 2pm. Visitors to the event will enjoy food, drinks and games.

Backpacks filled with Ector County ISD approved school supplies will be available to school-age students at the Block Party.

Odessa Police Department Block Party at Floyd Gwin Park-Back to School Themed Event

Odessa, Texas/August 6, 2023-On Saturday, August 5th, the Odessa Police Department held their annual Block Party at Floyd Gwin Park located at 10th and County Rd. West. Over 200 people came out to the fun family event. Backpacks were handed out to students on a first come first serve basis for the first day of school.

Visitors to Odessa Police Department’s Block Party enjoyed games, Jumpers, Hot Dogs, Chips and drinks, popcorn and other treats, and were able to participate in fun give a-ways.

Several non-profit agencies were at the OPD Block Party in the PAL Gym handing out candy and information. Kids, Moms and Dads got to see the OPD SWAT armored vehicles, personal protective hardware and tactical gear.

Odessa, Texas/July 31, 2022-The Odessa Police Department and 0dessa Fire Rescue held a Back-to-School Block Party at the Southside Baseball field next to the Margarita Fair Grounds. The event featured games, jumpers and give-a-ways.

Odessa First Responder Agencies have block parties in the Spring and Summer to entertain children and families by showing off various assault vehicles and hardware used in fighting crime, fighting fires and saving lives. These events help bring local law enforcement agencies and First Responders, and the community together in a positive environment.

The United Way of Odessa and other non-profits agencies along with The WEST TEXAS WARBIRDS were at the BLOCK party handing out goodie bags and information to families.
