Odessa-Midland, Texas/April 14, 2024-Odessa College recently hosted representatives from Steinway and Sons during a special recognition ceremony at the college. OC is recognized as one of only a few institutions in the U.S. to earn the distinction as an “All-Steinway Spirio Institution.

The Steinway Spirio demonstration included a collaboration with New York pianist Michael Cabe, who performed live from New York City.

The Steinway Spirio presentation also featured an Odessa College music faculty member, and an OC music student who performed an excerpt from Waltz in C sharp minor by Chopin.
The University of Texas of the Permian is also recognized as an All-Steinway Spirio Institution. UTPB became an All-Steinway Spirio school in 2012 and acquired three pianos in 2022.
