Midland, Texas/September 6, 2021-On September 6th,2021 at approximately 5:06 a.m. the Midland Police Department and the Midland Fire Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of W. Interstate 20 on the north service road in reference to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Officers arrived on scene and located a blue 2017 Hyundai Tucson pulled over on the roadway facing eastbound. The driver advised that they were traveling eastbound on the north service road when they struck the pedestrian. Midland Fire Department and EMS advised that the pedestrian was deceased.
Members with the Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene. Preliminary investigations found that the Hyundai was traveling eastbound on the north service road. The pedestrian was walking eastbound on the southside of the service road when the pedestrian was struck.
Next of kin has not been notified. Investigation is still on-going.
