Odessa, Texas/March 17, 2021-On March 14, 2021, at approximately 2PM, the Odessa Police Department was made aware that one of the OPD officers, Polo Frescas, was involved in a Family Violence incident. The matter was investigated, and it was determined that probable cause existed for Polo Frescas’ arrest. Frescas has been charged with Assault – Family Violence with serious bodily injury, a 2nd degree felony, and was placed on administrative leave without pay as the investigation continued. On March 16, 2021, Polo Frescas was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant, and is currently being held at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. The Odessa Police Department maintains that all employees shall uphold the highest of moral standards and have a zero tolerance for family violence.
Polo Frescas has been an employee of the Odessa Police Department for 7 years, and at the time of this incident he held the rank of Sergeant.
