Odessa,Texas/December 9, 2020-Two more arrests have been made in connection to a murder that occurred this past weekend in Southwest Odessa. Haley Staggs, 32 years of age and Jennifer Portillo, 38 years of age, have both been charged with Murder “1st Degree Felony”. Both subjects are currently in custody in Texarkana. On December 6, 2020 at approximately 2:21am, Odessa Police responded to the 500 block of Lauderdale Avenue in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers observed a deceased 31-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the face. Investigation revealed that after a disturbance occurred over money, the 31-year-old female was shot in the face and fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
